Locke Energy Solutions was founded in 2020 in Wellington, Florida, in the wake of two converging forces: the post-Hurricane Irma rebuild and a wave of HOA-driven roof replacements across the western communities. Homeowners who had solar on their roofs suddenly needed someone trustworthy to take the panels down before a reroof and put them back up flawlessly afterward — a niche that most general roofers and most big-box solar companies were not interested in handling well.

We started by doing exactly that work — careful removals, clean reinstalls, and the kind of methodical racking and flashing work that survives a South Florida thunderstorm. Word of mouth spread quickly. Homeowners who had their panels handled right started calling us for everything else: repairs, maintenance, system upgrades, inverter swaps, and eventually battery storage and EV charger installations.

By 2022 we had grown from a one-crew operation into a full-service solar and HVAC contractor with the licenses, certifications, and equipment expertise to handle commercial work as well as residential. We added HVAC services because the same customers who trusted us with their solar were asking who they could call for air conditioning work without getting the same runaround.
