A proper reinstallation isn't just bolting panels back down. Florida's building code, FBC 2023, has specific requirements for solar mounting that differ from what was installed on your original roof five, ten, or fifteen years ago. Your reinstallation needs to meet current standards — not just the standards that were in place when the panels went up originally.

What's included in a professional reinstallation
Pre-Installation Roof Inspection
We verify the new roof's integrity, decking condition, and waterproofing before any equipment goes back up. Nothing goes on a roof we wouldn't stand on ourselves.
Current-Code Mounting
Lag bolts into roof trusses, not just rafters. Flashings on every penetration. If your original installation didn't use standoff mounts or lacked proper waterproofing, we correct it.
Full Electrical Reconnection
Licensed electricians handle all DC and AC wiring reconnection, including combiner box inspection, inverter reconnection, rapid shutdown compliance, and grounding verification.
System Performance Testing
After reconnection, we verify each panel is producing within spec, check string-level performance, and confirm the inverter is communicating with your monitoring system.
Permit Closeout
We file the reinstallation electrical permit with the local building department, schedule the required inspection, and provide you with the final inspection sign-off documentation.
Written Completion Report
Before we leave, you get a complete report with photos, performance measurements, and permit documentation — everything you need for warranty claims, insurance records, or future reference.
Important: If your solar was removed by another company and you're coming to us for reinstallation, we perform our own pre-installation survey first. We've encountered panels stored incorrectly, mounting hardware that's been mixed or lost, and wiring that's been left exposed. We document everything and work with you to resolve any issues before we begin reinstalling.
