Florida's climate is hard on solar
Palm Beach County gets more than 230 sunny days per year — that's great for production, but it also means your panels face year-round exposure to heat, humidity, salt air near the coast, bird droppings, pollen, and the occasional tropical storm debris. Most solar systems in our region lose 5–15% of their potential output to soiling and deferred maintenance within the first three years of operation.
A properly maintained solar system in Palm Beach County should produce at 95% of its nameplate capacity or better. If your monitoring shows a declining trend over six months or more, there's likely a maintenance issue — not necessarily a failure.
Locke Energy Solutions offers both annual maintenance plans and one-time service visits. Annual plans include two scheduled cleanings, two full inspections, and priority scheduling. Our maintenance clients consistently see their systems return to or exceed original production estimates.
What's included in our maintenance service
Panel Cleaning
Removal of dust, pollen, bird droppings, and salt deposits using purified water and soft-bristle tools. Safe for all panel types including anti-reflective coatings.
Full System Inspection
Panel-by-panel visual check, mounting hardware torque verification, conduit integrity, combiner box inspection, and weatherproofing seal assessment.
Inverter Health Check
Thermal imaging of inverters, error log review, firmware check, input/output voltage verification, and efficiency measurement.
Performance Verification
Comparison of actual output against nameplate and historical data. We identify underperforming strings and investigate the cause.
Electrical Connections
Tightening of DC disconnects, проверка Grounding integrity, verification of rapid shutdown compliance, and проверка AC combiner connections.
Written Report
Every maintenance visit concludes with a written report including photos, performance data, and recommended actions — for your records or your warranty claims.
Annual maintenance plan subscribers receive priority scheduling, discounted repair rates, and free monitoring review calls every six months. We track your system's production and alert you to any unexplained drops.
Serving solar owners across Florida
